As a long-time photographer, this portal is considerably overdue, but I’m pleased to have it up and running.
As with many photographers, whether they’re willing to admit it or not, there is a measure of narcissism attributable to my motivation to display some of the visual experiences that I’ve recorded over the years. Heavily weighted toward photos taken in more recent years, the creation of this website fulfills my attempt to capture, document, and present a selection of those experiences. Included are what I consider to be some of the better examples of my work.
Site navigation is simple and straightforward. Images are sorted into six basic categories that are not intended to be exhaustive or all-inclusive, and may contain some overlap. Many of the shots, although largely self-explanatory, are accompanied by a caption briefly describing the subject and / or shot location relating to the photo that can be viewed by hovering over the photo with your cursor. All images are the result of my own work and involve minimal processing. There is also a link available for you to contact me by email – your questions, comments, and feedback are most welcome.
In the About section of the site, I provide insight into my photography background. In addition to briefly touching on my history with the medium, I shed light on my philosophy and fundamental approach to photography.
There, I attempt to convey a sense of what it is that I try to accomplish when behind the lens. Sorry, but there are no artsy, lofty, earth shattering, world-saving goals or ideas here.
This site also serves as a conduit for making my services available to assist you in achieving your own photographic objectives. Whether it’s conducting a planned portrait shoot, engaging in basic instruction, or leading a photography field trip, I’m interested in working with you to reach your photographic goals.
In the not-to-distant future, my plan is to make some of my images available for purchase. My current thinking revolves around providing quality prints, framed or unframed, for personal or business use, as well as electronic files licensed or sold for possible commercial use.
In the meantime, please enjoy what you see, and let me know what you think. After all, isn’t unsolicited exhibition of one’s work and request for acknowledgment by others considered narcissistic? I admit it.
Thanks for visiting. I look forward to hearing from you.
